Every pearl is a special entity that grows inside its mother oyster. These earrings are inspired by rare pearls, known for their elegant appearance and beautiful natural inner rings.
The satin-finished 18K yellow gold bezel features an Ouroboros snake with diamond eyes, highlighting the constant growth of the pearl. The Ouroboros has been used since ancient times as a symbol of “circularity,” “perfection,” and “infinity,” and is depicted as a ring of snakes eating their own tails.
The cultured non-nucleated pearl that forms the centerpiece of this design is created by cutting out a piece of mantle tissue from the pearl oyster, called the “piece,” and inserting it into the body tissue of the mother oyster. The small pearl visible in the center is the inserted “piece” wrapped in nacre, and the number of rings indicates the age of the pearl — in this case, 4 to 5 years.
ウロボロスのピアス
全ての真珠は母貝の中で育まれる特別な存在である。このピアスは、エレガントな外観と美しい輪紋を内側に持つ希少な真珠からインスピレーションを受けている。
サテン仕上げのイエローゴールドのベゼル部分には、ダイアモンドの目を持つウロボロスの蛇が象られ、真珠の成長を強調している。自らの尾を噛んで輪を作る蛇は、古代より「循環性」「完全」「無限」のシンボルとされている。
デザインの中心となる無核養殖真珠は、”ピース”と呼ばれる、真珠貝の外套膜組織の一部を切り取り、母貝の体組織に挿入することで作られる。中央に見える小さな真珠は、“ピース”に真珠層が巻いた状態で、輪の数から真珠の養殖年数（この場合は４〜５年）が推測できる。
